SO, WHERE DO WE BEGIN......
Our names, James Knights and Emily Day and we met when that song released “Kid Cudi - Day ‘N’ Nite” (yes that is a true fact). We have three children, our daughter Esmé Isabella Day-Knights who is 10 and our two son’s Forrest Fox Day-Knights who is 7 and Oakley Wolf River Day-Knights! We also have a cat, Lilly and two dogs, Bentley and Harley, oh and a tortoise called Malcolm. We live in a small cute town called Brightlingsea (near Colchester) and have a pretty simple life. We are engaged and due to marry one day ourselves. That’s us below being our usual selves.
Day and Knight Photography came to life around 2011 and we have been non stop every since, most of our clients find us through recommendations which we think is amazing! James puts a lot of hard work and determination into his photography putting his own style on everything he does, and is so passionate about his photos.

I often assist James at weddings if you add on one of our mini movies, its the only time I let him be in charge! I talk a lot especially when I am excited about something. I love a cuppa with biscuits, oh and a gin & tonic!! Meeting new people and making new friends is my favourite, and falling off my snowboard, chips with cheese & gravy is always a win. I am number 1 fan of The Walking Dead and Justin Beiber (don’t judge me)!! My favourite times are nights in watching movies and eating popcorn. I use to live in Canada Vancouver Island, James actually proposed to me there when we visited a few years ago and I said no in a shock panic, but did mean yes. Our daughter & son are my world and make me smile every day. I love my fiancé he makes me laugh and I am obsessed with our little family."
"Hi I am James Knights, the taller, hairy other half of Emily and I am the professional photographer and editor and main man for our company . I like making people laugh, and very much a cat person. I love snowboarding, all music, watching many movies, guiness, and crisps and dip.I am a huge Game of Thrones and a total geek loving all things like Marvel ESPECIALLY Ironman and my favourite movies are Lord Of The Rings of course! I am more of a big kid then my own children Esmé and Forrest who are the two things in this world I adore, oh and our VW T5 which I love working on when I have time. I proposed to my bestfriend a few years back on holiday in Canada on top of a mountain and she pretty much said no but meant yes. I really enjoy photography and always have been creative. I can be quiet when we first meet but then love to have a laugh and banter.”
