The No Posing Club is my take on documentary-style wedding photography in Essex. I blend in, capture the real moments and let you get on with enjoying your wedding. No constant directions, no staged photoshoots and no pressure to perform for the camera. Just your day, as it actually happened.

Your photos are finished in-camera and delivered in a high-resolution online gallery within 48 hours. It's wedding photography for people who want to remember their day as it felt, without spending it posing for photographs.

Beyond that, there's no long list of poses, no dragging you away from your guests and no turning your wedding into a photoshoot. I'll give you the freedom to do your thing while I capture the moments as they happen.

Before your wedding, we'll have a quick chat about your plans and timings. On the day, I'll turn up with my camera, blend in with your guests and photograph what's happening without constantly interrupting the fun.

I shoot using my own in-camera film looks, so your photos already have their finished style as I take them. Within 48 hours, you'll receive an online gallery containing all the usable images from your coverage, ready to view, download and share.

I don't believe in holding your memories back for weeks while I choose a handful of favourites. You get the full collection of usable photos, so you can decide which moments mean the most to you.

What exactly is The No Posing Club?

It's wedding photography without all the usual fuss. I won't spend your day directing you, lining people up or turning everything into a photoshoot. I'll blend in with your guests and capture your wedding as it happens, from the big moments to all the little things in between. You enjoy yourselves, and I'll take care of the photos.

Do you really not do any posing?

That's the idea! There's no endless list of poses or awkward instructions. Your package does include up to five group photos and a relaxed ten-minute couple session, but beyond that, I'll leave you to enjoy your day and capture things naturally.

Can we still have family and group photos?

Of course! You can have up to five group photos included in your package. We'll keep them quick and relaxed, so you can get back to enjoying the wedding rather than spending ages organising everyone.

Do we get couple photos?

Yes! There's a relaxed ten-minute couple session included. Nothing complicated or overly posed. We'll keep it natural and give you a few minutes together without disappearing from your own wedding for ages.

Are the photos edited?

I use my own in-camera film looks to give the photos their finished style as I take them. Your images are delivered straight out of camera, without the usual lengthy post-production editing process. The look is created as I shoot, rather than spending weeks editing afterwards.

When will we receive our photos?

Within 48 hours of your wedding! Your images will be delivered in a high-resolution online gallery, ready to view, download and share with family and friends. No waiting months to relive your day.

How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, so I don't promise an arbitrary number of photos. I'll deliver all the usable images from your coverage, giving you a collection that tells the story of your day without padding it out with duplicates or unnecessary shots.

Will you photograph our ceremony and speeches?

Absolutely. I'll document the important parts of your day, including your ceremony, speeches, celebrations and everything happening around them during your booked coverage. The exact moments captured will depend on your wedding timeline and the hours you've booked.

What about the first dance and evening party?

I'm there to capture the atmosphere, the dodgy dance moves, the questionable singing and all the brilliant chaos. I'll photograph the first dance and party during your booked coverage, without turning the dance floor into a staged photoshoot.

Do you need a shot list from us?

Nope! No list! The whole point is to keep things relaxed and let your wedding happen naturally. If there are particular people, moments or details that are especially important to you, just let me know beforehand. I'll keep them in mind without directing the entire day around a checklist.

Is The No Posing Club right for every couple?

Probably not, and that's absolutely fine! If you want lots of carefully posed portraits, extensive family group photos or a photographer directing the day, a traditional photography package might suit you better.

The No Posing Club is for couples who want to relax, spend time with their guests and have their wedding documented naturally, without feeling like they're constantly in front of a camera.

How much does it cost?

The No Posing Club starts at £700 for the coverage included in the package. If you need additional hours, these can be added for £150 per hour. Get in touch with your wedding date and plans, and I'll let you know what's possible.

How do we book?

It's easy! Get in touch with your wedding date and venue, and I'll check my availability. If you're happy to go ahead, I'll send over your invoice and booking details. Your date is secured once your booking fee has been paid and your booking confirmed.

Where do you photograph weddings?

I'm based in Brightlingsea. I photograph weddings across Essex and the surrounding areas, capturing relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography for couples who want natural photos without the awkward posing.
